I’m Kaya Taylor, the heart and founder of Maisha, where my mission is to help you create a life that’s as financially secure as it is personally fulfilling.
With a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community, I’ve designed this service to reflect my core values: freedom, social justice, wisdom, and a desire to uplift others.

My Background
I am a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (MCSI). With this blend of expertise, I bring a holistic perspective to financial planning that goes beyond numbers. I believe that true wealth encompasses not only financial capital but also human capital—your skills, talents, and potential. I hold full professional proficiency in English and native bilingual proficiency in French, allowing me to support clients effectively in both languages.

My Philosophy
At Maisha Financial Planning, I take a holistic approach to financial planning, focusing on aligning your financial goals with your deepest values. I’m not here to sell products or push investment solutions. Instead, I aim to empower you with the knowledge and tools to take control of your financial future. My services are centred on the GAME Plan method, which integrates life planning with financial planning, emphasising the development of your human capital as a pathway to lasting success and fulfilment.

My Journey
My career journey has taken me from the corporate finance world to the charitable sector, giving me a unique insight into both structured financial strategies and community-based support. I have seen first-hand the transformative power of a well-crafted financial plan—one that respects your individuality and reflects your personal aspirations. This experience has fuelled my passion for helping people, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, to overcome systemic barriers and achieve their full potential.
My Commitment
I am deeply committed to supporting BAME and female professionals, as well as SME business owners, who often face unique challenges in accessing traditional financial advice. At Maisha, I provide a culturally sensitive and inclusive service, creating a safe space where clients can discuss their concerns openly and receive guidance tailored to their specific needs.

More Than Just Money
For me, financial planning is not just about growing your wealth—it’s about helping you build a life that is meaningful, balanced, and aligned with your values. I offer a supportive environment where we focus on your overall well-being, including emotional and psychological growth, as part of your journey towards financial independence.
